The goal of this work is the processing and clarification of problematics of the rescue and rehabilitation stations for injured of the protected animal species in Slovakia. The work is also analysing the results of rehabilitated animals in the selected area in a certain time period. One of the goals was also finding out and clarify the most common reasons for the injuries and judgement of the effectivity of the species protection by running these facilities, depended on the succes of rehabilitation. Slovak republic is currently covered by 25 facilities for the rescue of the protected animal species, from which are 20 state and 5 non-state facilities. The work also describes the instructions of what to do in a case of finding the injured animal and also contains the selection from some of the laws of the nature protection and CITES.
