Currently, the issue of renewable energy sources is often discussed. The establishment of plantation of fast-growing woody species seems to be one of the most effective possibility to obtain the energy-usable biomass. Therefore, in the presented diploma thesis, we focused on the economic assessment of a model energetic plantation. The plantation in southwestern Slovakia was selected, which was established in 2007. The financial and economic assessment of model plantation was done according to comparison of investments associated with the establishment, cultivation, harvesting of biomass, as well as, the removal of the plantation and plantation yields.
