The bachelor thesis deals with fire safety of buildings with focus on fire division constructions in accordance with used standards, regulations and legislation, mainly: Regulation of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic no. 94/2004 Coll. that lays down technical requirements for fire safety in construction and use of buildings and the Slovak technical standard 92 0201-2: 2017. Furthermore, the thesis deals with fire division constructions that are divided into fire curtains, fire ceilings, circumferential walls and fire escape belts. Fire division constructions, which are located on the second floor above ground of a selected polyfunctional building, are discussed in detail in the practical part of the thesis. Types of components depending on material they are made of, requirements for required reaction to fire are determined for them and also the real reaction to fire acquired from the manufacturer. The conclusion sums up what is needed to be considered when dealing with fire safety of buildings when we want to correctly set up requirements for fire division constructions.
