In time from March 2019 till February 2020, we have realized a monitoring of habitat of a grey wolf in territory within the area of Stolické vrchy. We have used the transect method. During the monitoring period, we have gone to the terrain every month, at least for 2 days. Once we have passed around transect no. 1 and the other time around transect no.2. We have found 21 signs of movement. The most common sign of presence of a grey wolf were his excrements (16 overall records). Another common sign were his tracks (5 overall records). Other signs of habitation, for example urine, remains of animals etc. were not found. Based on the presence of habitation signs and with the assistance of KAI method, we have created a space-time activity of a grey wolf, which we compared with the results collected during the monitoring in time from April 2017 till March 2018. We are able to say, that during this year’s monitoring, grey wolf was mostly inhabiting the monitored territory during autumn and winter, however in the time of monitoring from April 2017 till March 2018 was grey wolf mostly in the monitored territory during the spring-summer season. These facts can partially regard to his feeding habits. There is a well-developed forestry in the area. Nevertheless, anthropic activity does not have a significant influence on his occurrence.
