This diploma thesis deals with the current topic of identifying and reducing stress in the workplace of manager and finding out factors which cases this stress. The main role of the current managers is to solve conflicts between team members and reduce the impact of stress on the effectiveness of their work. The master thesis analyses and compares the impact of stress on managers and employees in selected business Johnson Controls. The thesis is divided into four chapters. Theoretical part of the thesis is comprised of first two chapters, which are focused on psychological aspects of managerial work and impact of stress in the workplace. It describes in detail personality profile of manager, styles and methods employee management, characteristic of stress, types and results of stress, work stress and burnout. Third chapter is focused on research which we would like to contribute to knowledge about mental workload of managers and their employees. We will focus on the most problematic factors like time stress and negative psychosocial workplace in combination with a high degree of responsibility. The aim of the thesis is to suggest measures how to increase stress management in the workplace which could contribute to better relations between managers and employees, to the overall improvement of the business climate which should lead to more effective working performance (from both mentioned sides).
