AbstractThe bachelor thesis contains a description of construction systems based on wood and their characteristics. The chapters of the bachelor's thesis characterize and describe the structural element, cross-laminated timber - CLT (Xlam), and present selected requirements, characteristics and definitions of CLT panel and the material from which it is made. Another focus of this bachelor thesis is the elaboration of problem of CLT panels‘ strength-elastic properties in Slovakia and abroad, and the panels‘ strength-elastic properties calculations solution. It also focuses on a construction design of a family house made from CLT, assembly on a construction site and other structural details of compositions using CLT panels. The bachelor thesis also includes the elaboration of the building drawing documentation and the elaboration of the drawing documentation of the CLT panels themselves for establishing an order for production, solving their connection and evaluation of fragments of the selected building and its energy intensity project evaluation in the internet program.
