The presented Diploma Thesis, titled "Analysis of Wood Harvesting and Transportation Technologies in Municipal Forests of Dobšiná" is divided into four chapters, and we discuss the topic in each of the chapters. At the beginning of the Thesis we define the problem, and we deal with the regulation and monitoring of the wood harvesting and production process within the forest management. We also deal with the history of wood harvesting of the Municipal Forests of Dobšiná and we introduce the basic company data. Later, we present the characteristics of different terrain types and their influence on the wood harvesting and transportation process. In the last chapter, we process the results of the use of particular wood harvesting and transportation technologies within the Municipal Forests of Dobšiná. The main objective of the Thesis is to develop an overview to optimize the options of wood harvesting and transportation technologies, in terms of technological parameters, economic and environmental principles. In the Thesis we process the results of the use of particular wood harvesting and transportation technologies over a period of several years.
