The topic of the bachelor's thesis is to design a family house, whose peripheral supporting structure consists of straw prefabricated parts. The internal supporting structure, including the partitions, consists of a wooden column structure filled with blown straw. The text part contains the history of the use of straw as a building material, its properties, advantages, disadvantages and impact on CO2 emissions. It describes construction systems filled with straw thermal insulation, including the EcoCocon panel system. More information is given in the description of the family house, which is designed with regard to cerdinal points. There is an assessment of thermal-technical properties of the perimeter wall and calculation of heat demand for heating the building. Part of the work is also the drawing documentation of the proposed object and assessment with regard to meeting the requirements of a passive house.
