This diploma thesis deals with the issue of parametric design of furniture structures. Mainly it is focusing on the parametric design of a corner joint for board cabinets of kitchen furniture. Emphasis is aimed on coding the macro in such a way, in which it is possible to apply it to the largest possible range of parts. Specifically important is the automatic adaptability of the macro to any part size and the possibility of adding and removing optional joint elements. The subject of the work is also the integration of such design into the production process and tracking the advantages and disadvantages of its implementation. The thesis generally summarizes the issue of designing furniture structures and then applies the procedures for the introduction of technological innovations in the wood processing industry (WPI). We can state that the connection of CAD / CAM software with CNC technologies is a key element of progress in WPI and determines its direction into the future.
