The thesis is focused on the design and theoretical verification of thermal engineering chracteristic as well as experimental verification of the humidity condition of wood-based columnar perimeter walls using natural thermal insulation. The teoretical part of our thesis provides an overview of natural insulation materials, charakteristics of the columnar construction system and summary ofrequirements for designing low-energy buildings. The practical part of our thesis is aimed at designing perimeter walls with a columnar construction, theoretical analysis and an assessment of thermal engineering characteristics with current STN 73 0540-2, experimental verification of the humidity condition of the in-situ walls fragments incorporated in the reference research object. The design and verification of the perimeter walls meet the requirements of STN as well as required safety operational condition of humidity in actual climatic conditions. The successive part of our thesis focuses on application of wall constructions for selected architectural solution of two-storey family house targeted to develop a designing energy performance for building (EHB) and clasification into energy class under legislation of Slovak Republic. Correct construction and technical solution for the house as well as the EHB analysis implies compliance with requirements for EHB too.
