The design of buildings today, especially in terms of fire safety of buildings, is subject to strict legislative conditions. Due to the fact that the number of warehouses in single-storey buildings is growing and these warehouses ensure the storage of various combustible and non-combustible materials and products for some time, the thesis focused on solving a certain construction against the spread of fire in single-storey buildings. The diploma thesis dealt with the solution of fire safety of buildings in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic no. 94/2004 Coll., And valid legislative standards STN 92 0201 - 1 - 4. The solution itself, which is one of the basic requirements for construction, seeks to determine the most satisfactory security of the construction against the spread of fire. In the introduction, the work brings us basic information and the procedure for solving fire safety in a warehouse in a single-storey building. The next part is focused on the description of the warehouse and the solution of fire safety of the warehouse. Based on the results of the evaluation, the work seeks to bring the most appropriate technical solution against the spread of fire in the warehouse, but also recommendations on how the warehouse could be solved, either structurally to increase fire resistance or design of partitions in shelves against fire spread. The results showed that the warehouse must be equipped with a device for heat and combustion products removal, electrical fire alarm as well as suitable intervention devices and that the cladding of the warehouse with PUR panels.
