The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the practically used details of the exterior blinds. In the first part, the author pointed out the history and development of blinds. He also focused on different ways of shading, on the importance of active exterior shading and the material usage. In more details, the author described the most frequently used shading methods and available specifics of the location of exterior blinds and their impact on the thermal comfort of users. The author made a table of the overall evaluation of the details used in practice. The aim of the work was to evaluate the various ways of incorporating shielding devices into the construction of the perimeter wall regarding the heat loss and the table arrangement.
