Abstrakt v cudzom jazykuThe bachelor thesis is devoted to the thermal degradation of wood. Our thesis has the theoretical character. The first chapter deals with wood in general, but also with the chemical and physical properties of wood. It pays considerable attention to the theory of combustion, fire engineering properties, as well as the thermal properties of wood. The results and discussion are focused on the changes of wood after the thermic degradation, especially to the changes in the structure of wood and its main components. The last chapter is dedicated to the evaluation of the changes of physical properties after thermic degradation of wood. The changes observed in physical properties after thermic degradation are also summarized and evaluated in the end.
