The main aim of our diploma thesis is the application of forces and resources calculations in case of fire in the wood storage and in the rough wood building for constructing, carpentery and other purposes. The calculation of forces and resources is important for efficient firefighting by fire brigade units. The aim of theoretical part of the thesis is to present the concepts related to the problem. In the application part of the thesis, our goal is to propose a model fire situation and to provide a calculation of the forces and resources needed to overcome the fire in a building. The significance of this thesis can be seen mainly in the model situation, which, in addition to the application of acquired theoretical knowledge, also brings solutions. From a practical point of view, the importance of our diploma thesis lies in the fact that overcoming such fires as the proposed model situation requires increased intervention efficiency. The significance of the diploma thesis lies in the approximation of the terminology related to the topic. The most important part of the thesis are the results that stem from it. The results of the diploma thesis are in the application part, in which we deal with a specific model fire situation, which is in the intervention area of the fire station in Revúca. The result of the thesis is that the fire station in Revúca does not have enough resources to cope with such a fire under defined conditions.
