Gypsum plasterboard is a material that is increasingly used in the construction industry. In this thesis we tested selected properties of gypsum plasterboard. In the theoretical part we have described the different types of plasterboard and their possibilities of use. The practical part followed. We conducted in heat radiation test and measuring the surface temperature of each type of gypsum plasterboard during the test. In other tests, we measured the thermal conductivity and absorption coefficient of each type od gypsum plasterboard. To measure the coefficient of thermal conductivity, we used the EDPS (Extended Dynamic Plane Source), which is assigned for low conductive materials. In the heat radiation test, we determined the relative mass loss of each type of plasterboard for 10 minutes of the thermal load of the radiant heat source. Sound absorption coefficient we determined using STN EN ISO 10534-2: Acoustics - Determination of sound absorption coefficient and impedance in impedances tubes - Part 2: Transfer-function method. We tested 3 types of gypsum plasterboard. The RIGIPS RB(A) building board, the RIGIPS RF(DF) fireproof plasterboard and Knauf Diamant. The results of the tests were evaluated and the resullts are presented in the form of tables and graphs.
