Rožňava and its historical town center, breathing glorious history from times of the largest mining prevalence in area of Slovakia gradually loses original character, atmosphere and culture - social significance of the city. Main Square -- Námestie Baníkov (Square of Miners) increasingly takes the form of transport hub. Its former meeting and representative function is completely suppressed, even disappeared. The main goal of my bachelor thesis is the renovation of Námestie Baníkov (Square of Miners) restoring the character of the square and to provide added value to the citizens of the town. The most important aspect of achieving these goals is a complete reorganization of the transport in the central urban area. Excluding transport communications and parking areas from the square there is a neediness for designing new alternative solutions within the wider transport terms. Except existing central city by -- pass road I suggest a closer zokruhovanie of transport towards the square and the creation of new parking areas with minimal attendance distance. Clearing the square of traffic avoiding the current problem of crossing main pedestrian moves with discomfort ubiquitous cars. There will accrue quality spaces with clearly distinct functional utilization and operating relations. The main pedestrian zone is defined by a square grid in tiles with a clean orthogonal composition with diagonal LED lamps, which are emanate from historical cluel in support of key strokes and conducive to a better orientation in space.
