This bachelor thesis deals with designing the building of Pavilion of Music which is situated in Bratislava's urban district Ružinov near the west shore of Lake Štrkovec. Thanks to its position this locality has high potential of transport connection to the town centre. The lake, the racing track and the children's playground offer many possibilities for leisure time and outdoor activities and relax. Due to the relaxing and sport features of this area it is suitable for making it an operating centre of city-wide function. In the surroundings there is a lack of artistic schools what makes it an advantage for building this construction in such environment. The disadvantages of this locality are lack of parking space, badly kept environment including unkempt green vegetation and polluted water, which needs cultivation. The aim of this thesis is to propose a design of Pavilion of Music which will create an attractive accent in the area and the construction will become the new compositional centre of the surroundings.
