My topic of the thesis was to design a gallery and restaurant to a predetermined plot in the city of Bratislava Ružinov - Strkovec lake. This part of Bratislava is very localized and known. Since the object should be designed in such an attractive location must capture its essence and at the same time highlight the territory of their function. This part of Bratislava is also characterized by a good road connections to other parts of the city. It is an area well connected by public transport to the city and other urban areas. This means that people can visit this place regularly, so it is important to use this potential to build a cultural building that meets the residents of the city and will be happy to return here. Natural features, which is just opposite the plot will be highlighted and the sports and leisure function will be highlighted on the cultural function. Merging two main points and good field position and designing galleries in the natural environment has been a challenge for me and so I enthusiastically embarked on solving this award. The first major point was the need to become familiar with a given location and environment in which the land is situated. Define its shape, the slope connection to public utilities. An important factor for the design of buildings is primarily to examine the landscape, to choose the site, do photo documentation and examine the pros and cons of the area. These analyzes, I came to the knowledge that I applied to my concept. My goal was to create something simple and interesting at the same time. Inspiration occurred at the greatest landmark - Strkovec lake. Whereas held annually on the lake racing small sailboats, the idea arose to create a building in the shape of sailboats. The building itself is simple and architectural arises is completion of her imagination and excellence, which is hidden motif sailboat. The main visual element of building a shelter, which forms part of the whole architecture of the village. The building is a separate entity, where the first floor is a separate entrance to the restaurant and separate entrance to the foyer gallery. At the same time, these two blocks connected by the interior, which allows convenient operation from the gallery to the restaurant and vice versa. Exhibition gallery spaces are located on the first floor facing towards the main part of the lake.
