I chose project of gallery on Svidnická street in Ružinov, Bratislava for excellent natural conditions of surrounding enviroment. It is located near Štrkovec lake and it's characterized by peaceful enviroment without any distraction elements. Objective of the assignment was to design a building of gallery with a restaurant as a secondary function. When I specified the gallery I considered visitors and residents living near. Gallery will specialize in interactive art in which will be at the forefront of visual, audio and haptic perception. Dividing into two main sections will include exhibit space and workshop space which will be provided to the general public and students from nearby schools. Entrance floor includes entrances, receptions and restaurant where will be served three hundred meals a day. Since in the restaurant will be cooked from semifinished products, storage requirements are not big. The architecture of the building will be additional article of location. The task was to design a building with a maximum of three storeys. More then three storeys might have affect to light condition of contiguous building and might destroy view from windows. The building was designed according to cardinal points, representative space have west and south orientation with lake view. Secondary spaces are located on the north and east. Functional division of the building is reflected on the main facade of the building. The parterre is architecturally differentiated by glazing and use the potential of the natural environment of location. Gallery blueprint is processed for building approval level.
