Objective of the assignment was to design a gallery with restaurant. Gallery has to meet not only functionally operational purposes but also seeks to attract the attention of potential visitors. Its layout should be able to variably respond to the demands of exhibiting artists. The restaurant should be operationally separated from the gallery are. The initial idea of the property resulted from the breakdown of the surrounding urban construction, which is largely made up of residential buildings. Another determinant was the unusual shape of the property. In developing the building mass is an inspiration presence of Štrkovec Lake in close proximity to property. Many people in this area has encouraged me to build a photo gallery, which is close to majority of people living in the area. My aim is to attract people to the gallery but also to create a building that does not disturb the surroundings. The whole layout and shape of the building was inspired by photography, the camera and its functionality. Keywords: photography, concrete, workshop, restaurant, exhibition.
