My object was creating a space which is mainly used by pedestrians, create a place for communication and meeting peoples in the area with suitable mass-spatial, functional-operational and transport coupling. The main part of my proposal was modernizing, increase visit rate, and aesthetic values of the square with interventions, while I tried to preserve the existing traffic lines. Our planning area consists of three parts - space in front of the church, space in front of college (Bernolák) and park space. In the proposal I tried to compositional unification these three areas to form a single unit although they have different functions. These functions are selected on base the needs of users from surrounding buildings. The space in front of college is used for sporting activities ("Mini-skate Park"), zone before the church has mainly representative function and the park is preserved, with created conditions for entertainment. All three spaces also offer relaxation areas. After analysing of current situation, I found that one of the main problems is wrong positioned static traffic, what I also tried to solve in my work. I tried to propose a solution that wills most suits for transport and also for pedestrians. The proposal I set up an underground garage and I left the main communication lines for cars along the edges of square. Route (Wilson Street) is tapered in front of college to slow down of traffic and also to creating larger dispersion areas for students. A large part of the area constitutes Park, who currently is not very used. Situated greenery has not compositional value. Original place of the park, I wanted to keep, and I tried to aesthetically arrange greenery to compositional unit.
