RACA-- BRATISLAVA -- Technical University of Slovakia in Bratislava, Faculty of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning -- Prof. Ing. Arch. Peter Gal, PhD.- Bratislava: FA STUBA, 2013/2014 The aim of the thesis is the proposal for the revitalisation of the innerblock and public spaces in Krasnany district, Raca borough of Bratislava, and to demonstrate the importance of rejuvenation of public spaces using vegetation elements. The text part of the thesis presents current conditions of these issues solved at home. The thesis compares methods, level of design and revitalisation of public spaces in Slovakia. Additional parts of the thesis define the aims of work, which have been established from the ongoing problems of premises; and the methodological procedures of processing, which describe the current state of Krasnany district in several perspectives. Furthermore, the parts of the analysis contain graphical outputs. Through the analysis, the problems and the potentials of the area has been identified, based upon two solution variants of inner block has been developed. From these two variants, one has been chosen which is elaborated in great detail with the project documentation accompanying the proposition. The thesis conforms with the selected objective of the improvement of public spaces, which are designed for active recreation.
