The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to create a draft architectural work at the project level for land and construction administration approval procedure. The theme of this thesis is to propose a music pavilion building in Bratislava Ruzinov. The site is directly connected with Strkovec lake from its Eastern side. This fact becomes a major determinant for the formation of the proposal itself and the music pavilion. Thus offering benefits of urban space, not only because of its location, but also by presupposing the existence of a natural quality of landmark lake. The surrounding area is defined as quiet one, with good communication access and walking routes. Therefore, the proposed facility is dominated by the utmost openings towards the lake and offers space for secondary activities in the area between water and building itself. Concerning the educational part of the building with classrooms, the object is surrounded by a wall, which creates a sort of acoustic filter with resting zone between the environment and the classroom. Area in the vicinity of the land is largely formed to considerable extent by the substance of buildings with a low to moderate floor number. Predominant part consists of residential buildings with sufficient amenities. Apartment buildings are linear with five storeys, which is approximately 15 meters. Hence, the volume of the pavilion does not exceed the equivalent of two floors due to the possible preservation of existing views in the area. The form and composition of substance are based on the operational requirements set by the nature of music teaching programs, and also by the whole composition of neighborhood's surrounding. The white finishing of a facade gently and subtly enters the environment and demonstrates itself in a unremarkable way. Through its simplicity, the object is trying to improve the importance and significance of the lake and to create some sort of harmony to support this relationship. The aim is to develop a space for creating music and relaxing in all directions and aspects.
