The project of the dissertation thesis is focused on the research and design of a universal brake system for industrial handling systems. The first half of the work is focused on the theoretical study, which deals with automated handling vehicles and conventional braking systems. The practical part of the work presents experimental research of tribological properties of several samples of WC – Cu coatings. Research and development are supplemented by simulation models of braking and heat flow in the braking system of a towing AGV. Based on numerical calculations and simulation models, a parametric model of the brake system is created, which corresponds to the requirements of Asseco CEIT, a.s. The design of the brake system is introduced at the end of the work. The benefits of the dissertation thesis for the practice area, science, and pedagogy are evaluated in the conclusion of the dissertation thesis.
