The aim of the thesis was to examine and evaluate the effectiveness of the repellent Pellacol. The location where present research was conducted was the territory of Zákopčie village. The beginning of the thesis deals with the analysis of problems of damage caused by wild animals, different types of damages on the trees as well as the possibilities of protection and defence against them.The second half of the thesis deals with own research. There is elaborated a brief description of a given area, the methodology that was used during the research and the final summary of the results. The ongoing research has proven that even though the Pellacol is recommended as a repellent for protection against the damages caused by wild animals it managed to reach the relatively ambiguous results. It would therefore be more appropriate to use either a different kind of repellent or other form of protection.
