The aim of this dissertation thesis is the experimental investigation of the influence of selected technical-technological parameters and the physical-mechanical properties of selected wood species on the mass concentration and composition of the solid aerosol in the employee's respiratory zone produced by sanding with hand-held electric sander. The experimental measurements were aimed to reveal the influence of input parameters, such as sander type, grain size of sandpaper and wood species on dependent output parameters such as mass concentration and solid aerosol composition. The measurement of the wood dust mass concentration for the inhalable fraction was executed in three ways, by the optical method with DustTrak DRX aerosol monitor and by a gravimetric method with 37 mm or 25 mm filter. Two methods of measurement for respirable mass concentration were performed, namely the DustTrak DRX aerosol monitor and the gravimetric method with 25 mm filter.Based on the measured data, the significant influence of all input parameters on the mass concentration of wood dust was found.
