The bachelor thesis deals with the natural and cultural potential of the cadastral territory of the village Tomášovce in the district of Lučenec. Our detailed analysis shows that the cadastral area of the Tomášovce village does not currently have natural or cultural potential to the extent that would primarily motivate visitors to come to the area and stay for a holidays. However, in the given area we have identified a territory suitable for the development of soft forms of tourism, respectively short-term recreation. This is the area of the Tomášovský pond. Here we analyzed the current situation. After applying the SWOT analysis and the study of the development plans described in the Territorial Plan of the municipality, we also proposed some small technical amenities that might help the recreation development in the subject area.
