The diploma thesis deals with landscape ecological analysis of the town Banska Stiavnica in terms of main development documents of territorial self-government. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the terms, disseminating the issue of sustainable development and landscape management in terms of landscape ecological aspects and related legislation. In the second application part is characteristic of model territory in terms of landscape ecological conditions and socio-economic conditions. The main aim of this section is to find out how cooperation works in implementing natural and cultural aspects in the process of creating important documents, such as the land use plan and the social and economic development program. To achieve this aim, it is necessary to find out how the natural and cultural aspects are implemented in the process of creating these documents, how they intersect each other. Subsequently, evaluate the clashes of both documents, pointing to the identified strengths and weaknesses of the area. It is also necessary to analyze the current status of area management and, in general, propose improvements to problem areas. The results of the diploma thesis can be beneficial for future conceptions of development documents in the model area.
