The aim of this thesis is to analyse the events between meteorological elements and moisture of litter in the context of the degree of fire hazard. The measurements were carried out in Zvolen basin in Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) and European beech (Fagus sylvatica) stands. For the vegetation period (April 1st – September 30th 2018) were analysed the course of air temperature, precipitation and relative air humidity. Furthermore, we calculated the degree of fire hazard for each day. In selected observation periods, we measured the litter moisture in both stands. The moisture values of litter were evaluated in relation to the meteorological elements and the degree of fire hazard.
