A contract of sale represents an acceptance of trade of goods for an agreed upon value in money between a buyer and a seller. The incentive of sale might come either from the side of a buyer (in form of a demand) or from the side of a seller (in form of an offer). It is the most common type of a trade commitment. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to look in detail into a success rate of a buyer in legal proceedings and look at the causes that influence the length of the legal proceedings. In the introduction, we explain what is a contract of sale, we mentioned its aspects of importance, the contracting sides, etc… The practical part analyzes 10 randomly chosen trade lawsuits in which was the demanding side the buyer. We discuss the reasons of the prosecutor, the presented evidences and the defendant’s response. We concentrate on the success rate of the prosecutor and the length of time period of the legal proceedings. We also describe the district court in Zvolen as we chose to utilize the case files from their agenda.
