The bachelor thesis deals with the description and definition of individual fire-technical characteristics of wood and its burning processes. There are also mentioned basic fire tests, which are used for determination of fire technical parameters of wood.This bachelor thesis also describes the general characteristics of biomass as a renewable energy source and the characteristics of selected fast growing woods, which are in our case alder, acacia, willow and poplar.
