The diploma thesis, in cooperation with the investor, deals with the design and construction of furniture for the nursery with respect of the diverse needs and interests of the child and the specific requirements of the investor. Based on STN, EN and professional literature, it analyses the ergonomic, anthropometric, safety, functional and aesthetic requirements for children's furniture. Based on these requirements, in addition to the shape and design solutions, it focuses on the technical aspects of construction. In the second part, the thesis provides a brief overview of current trends in children's room design. On the basis of the target group and the analysis of the aforementioned requirements for children's furniture, the design and technical solution of the furniture was designed purposefully to fit in the correct position in a particular space. The solution includes visualizations and project documentation of the proposed furniture elements.
