The aim of the thesis was to propose improvement of working and living environment in GERGONNE SLOVENSKO s. r. , with emphasis on the protection and safety of waste management personnel. The thesis deals with the issue of waste management, overview of current legislation, selected problems of corporate management and basic documentation of the company in the field of waste management. In the next part of the thesis, the company was characterized and compliance with the standards and obligations of the employer towards employees in the area of protection and safety at work. The practical part consists of analyzes of environmental impacts of the company and analyzes in the area of health and safety at work in the selected company. In the results of the work, I managed to propose an improvement in the energy use of waste and an improvement of the working environment in the company.
