My thesis focus on impact of increment thinning on structure of broadleaved stands, composed mainly of beech and oak and their restructulize to mosaic structure. Research was conducted on permanent research plots (onwards as TVP), localized on VŠLP in Zvolen. TVPs are localted in LC Budča in 4. altitudinal zone and belong in Fagetum pauper forest type. On TVP1 and TVP2 increment thinning was conducted with focus on supporting high quality individuals of beech and oak trees as bearers of biomass production. Thinning on TVP1 and TVP2 resulted in decrease of individuals. ON TVP3 was present autoreduction instead of artificial thinning. On all of plots the main tree species was beech. This phenomenon covers mostly dominant and below layer. Oak is dominant in upper layers. Dependency analysis of bole volume from tree crown confirmed that on transect consisted of beech was determination coefficient higher, because there was intraspecies competition missing. Canopy analysis showed us the fact, that control plot had lowest values of canopy closure, as well as consisting of highest number of individuals per plot. Research has shown positive influence of increment thinning on structure of forest stand, where it creates ideal conditions for changing the structure to mosaic structure.
