The main aim of this Diploma thesis was to analyze occupational injuries and occupational diseases in selected branches. For comparison, we chose the forest enterprises Považská Bystrica and forest enterprises Prievidza. During the entire period under review, a total of 552 occupational injuries were recorded for the whole enterprise Lesy SR, š. p., the most of them happened in 2012 it was 75 injuries. In the forest enterprise Považská Bystrica, the highest number of work injuries became a pillar (50 %) and the most common cause of the work injury was slipping. In the forest enterprise Prievidza also recorded the most frequently injured pillars (54%) in the given years. Both of enterprises are reported to be the most common injuries of bumps, injuries and injuries to the upper and lower limbs. Occupational diseases in the period under review were in the company Lesy SR, š. p. was recorded occupational diseases and the most common occurred was Lyme borreliosis (43%) and vasoneurosis (41%). Most occupational disseases occured in 2014. In enterprise Považská Bystrica did not occour occupational disseases in this period and in enterprise Prievidza were suspected occupational diseases, but not confirmed by Social Insurance.
