The thesis is focused on the issue of small and middle businesses in Slovakia. We analyse small and middle businesses and their financial ways in detail. We explain the meanings of the terms small and middle businesses and investment in the theoretic part of the thesis. A proposal of investment project for selected business and its financial and economic analysis is included in the practical part of the thesis. We found out that the investment project in the business is realizable on the basis of the analysis. Finally we considered the investment efficiency and formulated conclusions and recommendations for the next business development.
