Nowadays, modern wooden buildings often demand a complicated constructional solution. For that reason, design complexity and manufacture of glued wood products require thorough analysis to manufacture. For that purpose, standard STN EN 14080 has been issued which completes and simplifies eight previously issued regulations for glued wood. The main objects of the bachelor thesis are to analyze the standard of EN 14080 and the use of structural timber in glued lamellas. For structural purposes, glued laminated wood appears to be the most useful element for buildings where bridging of large dimensions is required. Over time, the glued wood structure has been adapted to the consumer's requirements. Nowadays, GLULAM is the most commonly used laminated wood.
