MIKULAJ, Dominik: Design of a Testing Device for Bicycle Frame Tests for Conditions of Use in Departmental Laboratories. [Master's thesis]. University of Žilina. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Department of Design and Machine Components. Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Ľuboš Kučera, PhD. Degree of professional qualification: Engineer (Ing.), 2023. This thesis focuses on the design of a testing device for bicycle frames, which is intended for use in departmental laboratories that conduct frame testing. The research conducted at the beginning of this project explores companies that offer frame testing services, different types of frame experiences, and the relevant standards that dictate how individual tests should be performed. In the practical part of the thesis, the design of individual test workstations, their necessary components for securing the bicycle frame, and components for loading the frame are presented. The primary goal of this work was to design a testing facility that meets the requirements of the relevant standards and our specific needs. The designed testing facilities will allow the department, school, and bicycle manufacturers to improve the quality of their frames and ensure their safety and reliability in accordance with international standards. Keywords: structural design, bicycle, e-bike, bicycle frame tests, standard
