ŠTANCEL, Martin Bc.: Geometry Optimalization of Rear Swingarm and Rocker of an MTB Bike [Master thesis]. / Bc. Martin Štancel. – University of Žilina. Facuty of Mechanical Engineering; Department of Designing Parts and Machines. – Supervisor: Ing. Phd. Lukáš Smetánka. Žilina: MF ŽU, 2023, .The Master thesis deals with the geometry optimalization of the rear swingarm and rocker of an MTB bike . The work is divided into individual parts. In the first part, the thesis explains the history development of full-suspension bicycles, the division of bicycles according to disciplines, clarifies concepts from the field of frame geometry, kinematic properties and describes the basic suspension systems. The practical part analyzes the geometry of the current frame, its kinematic properties, the analysis of the structural design and the material of the frame. The practical part includes work with software for analyzing the current kinematic behavior of a bicycle frame that is commercially available on the market. CAD software Creo Parametric 9.0 and design software for bicycle design Linkage are used for analysis.Subsequently, an optimized solution of the rear structure with an innovative contribution and the use of the mentioned CAD software is determined and designed by experimental measurement. In the end, a technical and economic summary of the work is prepared. Which compares the previous state and the designed state of the geometry and the comparison of individual parts before and after the design.
