L'objectif de ce mémoire de licence était de traduire un extrait des orientations provisoires sur le séquençage du SARS-CoV-2 à des fins de protection de la santé publique publiées par l'Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS). Lors de la traduction de l'extrait de ce document, nous avons veillé à maintenir l'exactitude terminologique et fait attention à la structure syntaxique appropriée du texte dans la langue cible. Notre objectif principal était de maintenir le niveau de professionnalisme et d'intelligibilité du document pour son public cible. Dans le commentaire, nous avons procédé à une analyse détaillée du texte source, c'est-à-dire que nous avons discuté en détail sa macro et micro structure. En outre, nous consacrons une partie de notre commentaire à l'analyse des problèmes syntaxiques et terminologiques rencontrés lors du processus de traduction. Nous décrivons nos procédures de comparaison puis, de sélection des termes et des constructions de phrases appropriés.

Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce bol preklad úryvku dočasného usmernenia týkajúceho sa sekvenovania vírusu SARS-CoV-2 pre ochranu verejného zdravia, ktorý bol publikovaný Svetovou zdravotníckou organizáciou (WHO). Pri preklade úryvku tohto dokumentu sme dbali o zachovanie terminologickej správnosti a pozornosť sme venovali aj vhodnej syntaktickej štruktúre textu v cieľovom jazyku. Našim hlavným zámerom bolo zachovanie odbornosti a zrozumiteľnosti dokumentu pre jeho cieľové publikum. V komentári sme spracovali podrobnú analýzu zdrojového textu, teda sme detailne rozobrali jeho makro a mikroštruktúru. Okrem toho, časť našej analýzy venujeme rozboru syntaktických a terminologických problémov, s ktorými sme sa počas procesu prekladu stretli. Uvádzame naše postupy pri porovnávaní a následnom výbere vhodných termínov a vetných konštrukcií.

The objective of this bachelor thesis was to translate an extract from the draft guidance on sequencing SARS-CoV-2 for public health purposes published by the World Health Organization (WHO). When translating the extract from this document, we took care to maintain terminological accuracy and paid attention to the appropriate syntactic structure of the text in the target language. Our main objective was to maintain the level of professionalism and intelligibility of the document for its target audience. In the commentary, we made a detailed analysis of the source text, i.e. we discussed its macro and micro structure in detail. In addition, we devote a part of our commentary to the analysis of syntactic and terminological problems encountered during the translation process. We describe our procedures for comparing and then selecting appropriate terms and sentence constructions.
