The purpose of this thesis is to create an Android application that handles a 3D model of a mechatronic device using augmented reality for online control simulations. The 3D model is based on a real device - a pendulum on a moving cart. The application uses real-time data obtained from the OVL API server that uses Scilab Xcos simulation environment. The usage of augmented reality in this thesis enables the user to experience virtual objects in the real world. The application offers the user the ability to change predefined data, but also graphical representation of the data when simulating the behavior of a 3D model. This application aims to move education into the virtual world and will be part of the virtual laboratory. This thesis should help in subjects with basics of automatic control.
