The bachelor thesis is focused on assessing the suitability of the area for growing medicinal plants in the cadastral land Vígľašská Huta-Kalinka. The first step of the work was the general characteristics of medicinal plants. The main goal was the analysis of abiotic factors where we found out the current state of the area and the size of areas suitable for medicinal plants growing. Based on landscape-ecological criteria, we have developed a framework proposal for large-scale cultivation of medicinal plants on agricultural land. At the same time, we evaluated the types of medicinal plants that we grow small-scale in the village and then compared their basic living needs with the needs of the area. The last step was the analysis of the most frequently collected species of medicinal plants and the addition of protected and rare species in the area.
