The thesis deals with the influence of potential biocide, silver nanoparticles, on qualitative properties of laminated particleboard surfaces. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, the work contains the characteristic of surface treatment in a dry manner, the characteristic of the resins most frequently used in this type of surface treatment (MF, UF, PF). The core of the theoretical part is a literary overview of biocidal and other nanoadditives which are used in the protection and modification of wood and wood composite materials (silver, zinc, titanium, silicon, copper). The second part is focused on experimental verification of nanosilver effects applied to melamine-formaldehyde resins used for impregnation of impregnated papers in the lamination of particleboard. The resistance properties of laminated particleboard surfaces against Aspergillus niger and Penicillium brevicompactum microscopic fungi, selected chemicals and dry heat were examined.
