Innovation can be characterized as development of new or changing an existing product or process. Nowadays innovation represent the engine of the business and economic development. The theoretical basis of the work describes the innovation, the innovation process and innovative systems. Primary purpose of innovation systems is to help to create and implement the innovation. The main aim of this study was to analyze the current state routing innovations focused on natural resources in the forestry-wood chain by using an Q method. In research were adressed three groups of respondents, whose task was to subjectively assess innovative trends in the forestry-wood chain. The work is divided into the two main parts. The first part deals with the theoretical framework of work. The second part is focused on the analysis of inovative trends by Q method and discussions of the results. Based on the results of work it can be councluded that innovative trends will focus on technological progress in the field of wood processing and increasing of activities connected with recreational functions of forests.
