The goal of this study is clarification and analysis of round timber qualitative attributes identification and measuring by means of relevant adapted european norms STN EN and the most used original norms in praxis - STN from the year 1983 along with a teaching aid creation – a tangible collection of round timber qualitative attributes. The created collection consists of 35 samples, which contain 43 qualitative attributes from all the 56 attributes engaged by this paper. Graphical projections of attribute measuring, as well as differences in measuring based on mentioned STN, were created in PicPick and Adobe Photoshop CS5 programs. The siginificance of this paper resides in an ambition to enhance the quality of forestry students education on TUZVO by using the created teaching aid – a collection of round timber qualitative attributes and in clarification and simplification of round timber qualitative attributes identification and measuring having regard to clear understanding of differences between measuring particular attributes according to norms STN EN 1310 or STN EN 1311 and norm STN 48 0204.
