The aim of the diploma thesis was to analyze unfair commercial practices at Internet dealers in order to familiarize the public with the practices used by both Slovak and foreign internet dealers, to protect the consumer and at the same time to contribute to the increase of his legal knowledge in this field and propose a solution or rules to follow if he / she becomes damaged by such seller practices in the future. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts of consumer protection against unfair business practices of Internet retailers. In the following two chapters, the main goal and partial objectives were set and the methodology for the research was elaborated. In the analytical and practical chapter we defined an alternative dispute resolution on-line RSO platform and we performed an analysis of selected unfair practices. In the next part a questionnaire survey was carried out at the level of the legal awareness of the Slovak public about the use of unfair business practices of Internet retailers and the possibilities of consumer protection against them, the results of which were evaluated graphically and verbally. The conclusion of the analytical and practical part formed the main part of the thesis, which consists of namely suggestions and recommendations, that were based on the results of the previous parts of the thesis, and those we elaborated into concrete proposals and recommendations for increasing the level of knowledge of Slovak consumers.
