Urban forests Košice were hit on May 15 by wind calamity, these are mostly the multiple disaster in homogeneous beech forests. The lenses of calamity hit purpose and protective forests, also hit the reserve with the fifth level of protection. A total of 95 affected purpose-built stands and three plantations in the reservation. By the end of 2015 it was processed on forest circuit Ružín 12400 m3 of damaged timber stands in a purpose-built around 2800 m3 of calamity were registered in the reservation. Filling of this work is to provide a comprehensive view of the status of wood for the operation of this abiotic factor. The work describes the quality of treated wood indirect consequence of wind calamity, representation of individual assortments and their selling price. The work of assessing the impact of wind calamity for the production assortments in confrontation with the planned deliberate harvesting in these stands. The work described the situation as regards the possibility of damaged timber marketing during 2014, 2015.
