The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the applicability of Paulownia Clon in Vitro 112 for construction purposes. Work, in addition to the general information on this wood and the measurement methodology, contains the measured strength values and compressive modulus in compression parallel to the grain and in the torzion. These measurements were carried out according to the modified norm STN EN 408, STN 49 0110 and STN 49 0111 and were subsequently evaluated by means of correlations between the individual properties. The result of the thesis is confirmation, resp. rebutting speculation about the use of Paulownia Clon in Vitro 112 in the construction industry, or setting out areas where the wood could be used. The results of the work serve as information on the relevance of further more detailed tests for Paulownia Clon in Vitro growers in Slovakia.
