The aim of this diploma thesis is to assess customers´ perceptions of the innovations in banking sector. As the main subjects of our research are selected innovations currently used in Slovak banks. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical part, aim of the thesis, methodology and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics and classification of the innovations. We describe the innovation process, the innovative product life cycle and last but not least, we devote our attention to the description of methods that measure customer satisfaction with innovation process. At the end of the theoretical part, we analyze methods of effective innovation management, which include benchmarking based on the Kano model. Subsequently, we focused on setting the goal and methodology of the thesis. The practical part of the thesis shows how customers perceive banking innovations. Using the Kano model and Benchmarking, we were able to find out who is the most affected by banking innovations and who sould ultimately be the focus of these innovations.
