Zvolen: TUZVO, 2017, 68 s.The thesis deals with the design principles of contemporary modular furniture. In the introductory part are briefly described the furniture systems, which are currently offered. The main objective is to describe the design of the currently manufactured modular systems, their analysis and subsequent evaluation. The subject of the feature is selected furniture sets and sets offered on the market. The individual systems are divided and characterized according to the principle of construction, of which they are composed, and are also divided according to the purpose of use. In particular, the focus is on the construction of the individual components of the structure and the conditions for joining these components. Also, the variability of assembly of individual elements is also characterized. Individual constructions are compared to each other, as they have advantages and disadvantages. At the end of the thesis is a brief evaluation of modular furniture and an evaluation of its use in interiors.
